ONE NEW PAGE. This was quite an eventful week for me. I attended multiple job interviews for multiple organizations (three normal interviews, one group interview, and one casual lunch interview), an orchestra concert for a local school, and an open house, where I acted as the guardian of my younger brother. Yet, somehow on top of all of that, I still managed to finish this page before one week passed since my last update. Isn't it odd how sometimes you can go weeks (or months) without doing anything eventful, then suddenly be bombarded with multiple tasks over the span of a few days?
Nevertheless, when I attended the open house as my brother's guardian...I attracted many awkward glances from teachers and parents. Just to fill you in, I'm currently twenty years of age, but I've sometimes been mistaken as a high school student. In other words, I definitely do not look like the GUARDIAN of a high schooler...even if you start making wild guesses as to what type of crazy family situation would have produced this. However, despite the whispers behind my back, I met with all his teachers and enjoyed the little open house the school prepared for us "guardians".
Oh, one thing I was impressed with is this new "SmartBoard" thing. I still remember when I was in high school (three years ago) and we were still using chalkboards or (for teachers with more influence) markers and white boards. Nowadays, they apparently use some sort of giant electronic touchscreen monitor called the SmartBoard. Sure, it's certainly environmentally friendly in the sense that you don't create dust particles with chalk or emmit chemicals from the markers...but isn't a giant touchscreen monitor a bit expensive to replace its old fashion counterparts? I mean, these things are like iPhones but with screens a hundred times larger.
Regarding the multiple interviews I attended...it went well in case you are wondering. The only one I am not feeling confident about is the group interview, because I was a little intimidated by being scrutinized by four different people at once. Well, I wasn't really intimidated...I was just kind of unsure who to maintain eye contact with throughout the interview so it kind of threw me off. Luckily, out of all the positions I was aiming for, that organization was the least appealling to me. The position I really want is the research and development team with C.R. Bard Peripheral Vascular...they create implantable biomaterials (mainly textiles) for the vascular system. I still haven't gotten their response yet, but I have my fingers crossed.
And that's all I have to talk about today. Nothing regarding the page itself because it was rather lazily done (I'm sure you recognize some of the images). Next week, college starts up again for me so the next update may take longer than usual as I adjust to my new schedule.
