well, it's good to know your doing something other than trying to complete pages to deadlines jason, good on you,

regarind the page, I can see why you think Gods eyes are scary, they're like,

"I just ate a bus load of small children" eyes,

however, Haru's eyes don't seem scary, different to the point of notice, but not yet passing the line into true horror.

I find the layout of Haru's speech somewhat strange for somereason, maybe the uneven spacing of bubble (Polygons, shapes, 2d objects whatever you want to call them).

I think the reason why the eyes look scary is because I brought them out too much...it contrasts with the rest of the face too much.

And I agree, those polygon shaped bubbles are a little weird sometimes. And now that I'm paying extra attention to that batch of bubbles...I suppose they are even more off than usual today. I think I'll let it stay for now...but if other people complain, I'll go in and change it as needed.

Now that I'm rereading what Haru said...his speech/dialogue seems off too, doesn't it? I don't know...pitch ideas to me so I can change it later along with the bubbles.

(don't you love how interactive I make ROL? lol)

I'll agree that Haru's eyes don't quite fit with his face but other than that I'd say he came out really well.

As with God, her face looks like a halloween mask, like an evil smiley or something. It doesn't look all that bad though..^_^

I thinki the art for this page is very well done. I think in comparison to some of your older comics, the eyes 'stand out too much'eyelash line would fix this since you're going for a more realistic approach. God's eyes, however, look especially cool. It's a good thing that they stand out and appear somewhat unnatural - and I think they embody her disdain with the current situation very well. Thumbs up!

The speech bubbles might actually look better if grouped into one or two larger bubbles. But I think overall, it's not really that big of a deal.

Wonderful job and keep it up! :)

Haru is awfully stoic, isn't he... I'd have started yelling by now - being haunted by some halucination claiming to be god and not having any memory - sounds to me like something to get excited about.
Oh, well - god's face look like that creepy doll from that horror movie (not Charly, I think), but that's mostly from the creepy smile.
Haru's just look radically different than last time we saw him. Page 80 springs to mind, although that whole sequence is radically different than the new one). I kinda prefer his new look, aside from the eyebrows.
by Jason @ 27 July 2008 02:44 pm
@pretty_blossom: Yeah, I originally had him yelling, but his face just wouldn't come out right so I had to improvise his dialogue at the last minute into something calmer.

Supposedly a few weeks passed (as Torin and Yasu explained), so the feeling probably died down anyways. The question should be why is he concerned about it NOW...a few weeks after he woke up. And to that I have no answer lol

He's suffering from amnesia, makes sense that he's only just realising how strange it is to have hallucinations of god... well, something like that.
Personally, if I was in his situation, I'd probably just go along with the flow.. I mean, if you're crazy you're crazy, if not it'd be a bad idea to offend a deity.

Ah btw, real reason I'm making this post, had Opera installed anyway so figured I'd check the page, found 1 minor bug: The [RETURN TO TOP] links appear to be broken. Yeah. Huge loss. Don't think I can read the webcomic without those (then again I usually use FF3 and works fine on that), but figured I might as well mention it.
Ah, and that's Opera v9.27, on Vista 32 bit.
by Jason @ 28 July 2008 12:56 pm
Ah, thank you Runiat. I will look into it. I would hate to have my Opera users have to actually scroll to the top rather than clicking a button!
by enistoja @ 29 July 2008 07:43 pm
I think it looks great (Even if it's my first post, I've read all of this)
As for your request to check that the new layout looks good on Opera, checked on the DS browser, and it looks all right, almost like it looks on FireFox 3
Her eyes do look a bit scary, but that's just the character, I guess
by Jason @ 30 July 2008 09:17 pm
Thanks for the update, enistoja. So now I've had it checked on IE5/6/7, Firefox 1.5/2/3, Opera 9, Safari 2/3/4, Camino, Flock 1.2/2, Konqueror 3.5, and elinks/lynx/links.

It seems I did a decent job this time around because the only browser where it fails is IE5.5...but I am probably not going to fix it because it still looks somewhat acceptable.

Love the page I dont think 'God' has ever creeped me out as much as on this page...
Haru sounds like he has been thinking about the fact that he can see someone that noone else can and has gone with that more rational explaination that he is hillusinating

this just makes it all the more fun to read
by Kat @ 03 August 2008 07:34 pm
The eyes look fine, tis the hair that's still a little... off.
