| I'm a huge critic in most areas, and if you want to draw porn, I highly doubt anyone will think less of you for it. I certainly wouldn't, as long as it isn't beastiality or pedophilia, which I'm sure it's not.
As for the ads, I am sure many readers would find it to be slightly annoying, but once again I doubt that it would affect your reputation as a webcomic artist, and certainly no one would stop comming to the site because of it. (Though some losers may say that they would, just to get you to take it down.) Over all, it would only be a bother to the readers, but a great help to you. As for the porn, go for it, unless you'd be embarrassed. In which case I would just post it on a different site. Hope this helped~ |

| I think the advertisements would be a fine idea, as long as you don't become so dependant on the revenue that the people who give you money can decide what goes on this site.
You might also want to consider that advertisements probably wouldn't look good on this site. As for the porn, I say go for it. It's not like theres anything wrong with porn. |

| Considering the controversial subject matter of this comic so far, I'm doubting many (if any) of the people that read it will mind you putting porn someplace on the site. In fact I'm pretty sure most of us would check it out. Go for it! As for the advertising, I agree with Voba on that matter. |

| I understand needing the money, however, I really don't like the idea of audio ads. When I visit a website and an audio track plays, that's just about as if not more annoying to both me and my spouse than pop-up ads. I also think it might make it harder for some people to visit the site from work.
Admittedly, that wouldn't make me stop visiting the comic, though. |

as for the ads, im one of those people who sit through a 30sec commercial for a free online game, one more commercial isnt really gonna matter. as long as they get no say over the comic that is. |

| As long as you put the 18+ warning signs it goes from being your responsibility to the person who is well aware if they are 18+ or not.
I don't think I would (personally) like the audio. The first time it would probably scare the crap out of me, and after a while it would probably just be annoying. But, whatever you do, I read Project ROL because of the story it holds, not the content around it. So, do what you feel is best. |

| With the pronography, I agree with basically everyone above. As long as you put warning signs.
Also I wouldn't mind with the audio clips. I always have my sound off and if I need to listen to something, just use a CD player or something. |

| I find any commercials with audio on the internet very annoying. I wont stop reading the comic, because I love it, but if I go to a new site and hear a stupid audio I wouldn't probably even bother with the site and just close it right away. |

| Ads: A-OK. It's not like webcomics don't take their toll on the artist wallet anyhows. Audio ads are fine by me.
Porn: Put it elsewhere. If we wants it, we'll look for it. This comic isn't that controversial anyways. It just borrows religious themes, not cast aspersions on them. Kids could be looking at this site and generally don't care about 18+ stuff. Or at least the dumb ones don't. Let's help out the dumb ones. Let's not turn their young, pure minds the the dark side so early on. Put the porn elsewhere. |

Porn: IMO put it elsewhere. I think you should keep this site strictly to ROL. If you really need the publicity from this site maybe link to it (with a warning of course) at the most. But heck, it's your website and your comic. I personally think putting 18+ area would be a bad idea - not everyone that reads your comic is 18 - and who pays attention to those warnings anyways? |

| I don't personally like it when websites make noise. Would it prevent me from coming? Probably not, but I'd likely remember to mute sound before opening the browser (which is what I do generally if I know a site has "music" or something that plays without me asking for it).

| On the advertisements- I'm sure all the readers will just shrug it off and ignore it. However, it may make it a little harder for new readers to stick around long enough to even read the comic- I'd bear that in mind, and be careful with what the actual audio is.
As for the porn... Everything that's already been said. Ample warning and all that. ^_^ |

| Well, about the ads I only want to say that it is pretty easy to turn off the speakers, even for DAUs (dumbest assumable users). And on top of that, don't all (newer) keyboards have mute keys?
And about the porn: Well, there could only be two problems. First, if you would lose your self-esteem (which is, obviously, not the case). And second, if visitors would be disturbed by a 18+ section. I personally would also propose putting the porn on a different website. You can put a link somewhere. Your true fans ;-) read your comments anyway and wouldn't miss the chance clicking it. |

| Porn fine, you draw what you draw, and we as readers have the choice to not look at it. If ads are introduced and they aren't easily ignored, I imagine I won't be the only one who just blocks them. Some people may use simple CSS tricks (assuming that would work for these ads...) but I'll simply set things up so they're not even requested. I understand you need money, and if you put non-intrusive ads up I'll be happy to allow their display and I may even click a couple if they interest me, but if the ads are intrusive I'll simply block them. |

| Porn has the reputation of funding the Internet. A properly fenced and labelled 18+ porn section wouldn't bother me, and the advert can go there too.
While I occasionally click 'unobtrusive' banner adverts, I routinely ignore and block the obnoxious popover and audio junk. Free plug for Opera and Firefox, which both have that ability! |

| Since you are already drawing porn, I see no reason not to post it. People who don't like it don't have to click. People who like it can click. In my mind it's as simple as that. I am certain that another section under Site Navigation will not hurt anybody.
On the other hand I'm against audio economic propaganda program. Other people who commented gave several valid reasons why not to participate in it so I see no point in elaborating them. In the end you have to decide between your desire to make profit and discomfort of your readers. You are providing your product for free, although its manufacture costs. Honor to you for that action. Many people here believe that this fact justifies use of audio "commercials". You posted that you want to hear opinions of your readers. By reading your comic I feel that I belong to that group, and my subjective opinion is "no" concerning audio economic propaganda program. However even if you decide that money is more important than comfort of your readers I believe that providing us, your readers, the ability to express our opinions on this subject is exemplary behavior and should be commended. People that see "easy money" and proceed to do whatever they can to get it without any second thought aren't few and I am happy to see that you aren't one of them. |

Ads: Heck, yeah. It'll help you pay the bills. I know the joy of doing a webcomic is payment enough itself *wink wink* a bit of cash makes it that much sweeter. Especially if you think about how as an engineering major at your year is worth at the VERY least $25/h. your time costs a precious bit of money. However, I don't know about audio ads. Is there any way to turn them off? There's also 'project wonderful' to look into. Porn: Ah the great internet pastime. I'm against it personally, but that's never stopped the internet (or anyone) before. I'm going to pull a 'think about the children' view on this. Probably the majority of your readers are under 18 and would love to get their hands on some porn from their favorite comic writer regardless of any warnings. If I was a comic writer I wouldn't want some 12-14 year old looking at my lusting desires. So I would think lower of you if you did it but it wouldn't stop me from reading the comic. I would wonder how that 12-14 year old would think of you in 5-10 years. When I was in 9th grade I thought everyone had sex before they graduated and it was something you should do. But that's because everyone I knew that was older than me was having sex all the time. I wish I had someone to look up to back then who would tell me it wasn't true. I know you're not out to change the world and you're not a saint, but as an older sibling I know that there will always be someone looking up to you when you least expect it. ads are ok if you want them, and i'm not sure if it would be a click-through deal or what, but if it is and everyone says "thats fine, i just ignore them" what benefit will that be? if you think that people will actually click on the ads, do it. *rereading it, that sounds kind of harsh, but i don't mean it to sound like a be-yach. |

| You must remember Jason in the end, it is your website, and what you plan to do, and waht you want to do, are completely your choices, you will never be able to please everyone, but if you are atleast able to get to a decision which doesn't effect others in such a way that it is obtrusive or sadistic, and that makes you feel fulfilled/happy/satisfied with your work, that is the best. |

| Nothing wrong with porn. Drawn, that is. You can draw whatever you want - you're not hurting anyone but people with too high sensibilities.
Audio clips ... I'm of a split mind. Given that the audio clip is over after a few seconds, it might be better than banners, which keep on taking up space. On the other hand, the only thing more intrusive than sound are those terrible ads that block the actual content. And typically, my immediate reaction to sound coming from a website is to close the tab. The ads would probably contain music, and few things sound more horrible than a music clip mixing with my own background music. |

Like Falkun said. It's a tradeoff. As for the porn, since it's your own art and you want an easy link for the readers to be able to find, I think it would be absolutely fine. Especially since you have already decided to put a 18+ warning. Besides, if we want to take a look, we will. If we don't, we won't. Whether we go and look it up on google/yahoo/ect. or find it here, we can still find it easy. |

| 1) porn is an unavoidable part of the world and especially the www . Anyway - nudity and sex don't equal porn automatically - I've seen some excellent works by other artists that did it. Whatever it is u're planning - label it properly and there's no problem.
2) audio ads - I doubt they'll be more annoying than those video ads that some of the comic lists sites have started to sprout. Go ahead - I don't usually have my speakers on anyway. 3) Yasu's words - there was only 1 angel around, and she knows it. What's with the plural? 4) Hakuro's words - he knows what angels are - he spent a few pages debating them with Yasu before he got mauled by one (page 18 and onwards show he pretty much knows what's going on, but he might suffer amnesia). |
