Oh, if the court's anything like here in Canada, criminal cases can take four months or so as well. Then again, I don't think it's four months with constant meetings, I think it's a few spaced out over awhile.

Comic's looking good; the new art style seems to be turning out well. Keep up the good work!

I hate to tell you this but some criminal cases CAN last that long
by Sitrel @ 07 January 2008 03:48 pm
I've never been in a juries shoes in a court case before, though i've heard some cases do last longer than a year.
by Jason @ 07 January 2008 04:47 pm
But the average case is 3-5 days. Or at least that's what the video they made us watch said. And from what I've heard usually most people get cases that are only a day long...and even more cases are dismissed before the jury is even decided.

Since there was some confusion at my last post, I'll try to clar it up.

I didn't mean to look explicitly for synonyms -_-; I meant that she might be attacking emotionally him by telling him that he likes going through the painful cycle of reality he chose...
I didn't exactly explain what I meant so that is partially my fault. Otherwise, you shouldn't assume so much. :P
To Pretty_blossom:
Yes, that may sound impossible and impracticle, but the thing is-- God is an unrealistic character. This is fiction, and a story that includes the Creator in it. I'm not all that religious so I'm not going to start ranting and raving about blasphemy or anything, but isn't the Lord supposed to be all-knowing and far more intelligent than humans might even know? Intelligence is supposed to be what seperates us homosapiens from the animals. Would not God, at a higher range of acuity, use every word at their disposal to express their unapproval and hatred?

israeli legal system doesn't have juries - it's only judges, and a case may drag out for years, even criminal ones. consider urself lucky it's only 4 months.

to Cook!3: I disagree - one should strive for realism at some level, and speech patterns are the basic one. I can suspend my disbelief about there being a god, those weird mutagenic angels that look like something spliced together from existing materials and not something that got born, the rest of the technology and cast, but I just break down when some character says something totally wrong for it. A character has to have a consistant style of speech and consistant vocabulary. This particular god doesn't strike me as an eloquent one, nor all that intelectual. Using obscure words just to avoid repetition is a style of speech that just doesn't suit her. BTW - most human gods (including the jewish and christian ones) tend to use lightning to show their displeasure rather than words. I've read large parts of the bible and I haven't come across god lecturing people. Send giant fish to swallow them alive, rain fire and brimstone on them, but not lecture them.
by Quill @ 08 January 2008 02:20 pm
Pretty: Well, the Christian God does lecture people, but only ones he likes and generally it's ordering them (For example Moses or Joseph and the coat)

Anyways, Who said God was a nice character? This is a sci-fi manga, using the author's world which could be anyway he likes, and even God will be anyway he likes.

And as for the art, I'm not too fond of God's mouth in the second panel. I think it's a bit too big and high up on the face. It just looks... Strange.

Heh...quite a...debate going on in here. Anyway, I'm currently working on the next page. Just finished outlining the hair...so it should be up by tonight or tomorrow morning.
