| 1) brain power isn't 105, but it's not like u think. Humans can survive the removal of major parts of the brain and reman alive (albait more sedated and with a personality change). It's because the brain isn't centralized - you can't point at a part and say "this is the memory of yesterday's breakfast" or "this is where u can lift a leg up". Those things are a combination of neurons that send each other pulses all over the brain. it's a specific pattern to each thought in the brain, but removing chunks of it doesn't take away the ability to form new patterns around the damaged area. It's facsinating to compare the workings of a brain to the workings of a computer - I recommend the book Godel Escher Bach - The Eternal Golden Braid to explain it.
2) Regarding racis dogs - don't know what u expect - if a man is bitten by a dog he will hate all dogs and probably won't even bother to tell a chiwawa apart from a doberman, while a dog that has been kicked by a human will accept certain kinds of humans around. Sounds better to me than what the humans do. remember that to dogs we are all the same, just as to us all dogs are the same. 3) Regarding the new pages - u are doing a good job - I'll stick around in anticipation. |

| Well, the paragraph about the brain and the dog is in a half-joking manner. There's no need to take it seriously. I was just rambling lol. Sometimes it feels nice to just randomly poke fun of things, in this case dogs and the 10% myth.
And thank you for the compliment...and all the other comments you left on the other pages! I'll be reading them and perhaps replying to some of them after I finish typing this sentence... |

| SHE'S GOD????r
you may go to hell for this you know... |

| Yes...I'm well aware of the risks of making God seem so...unorthodox, and perhaps even in a negative light. However, I'm sure it'll all work out in the end for me... |

| LOLZ! racist bitch!
pretty_blossom: All dogs arent the same to me! Not even all birds are the same! We've managed to name the excessive number of ducks at our school and we can distingish between the LOADS of sparrows that we feed. And I make friends with dogs all the time, I never treat them the same after the inital greetings! The sparrows are so cute!!! |

| I used to do bird-ringing at school - we had a sparrow called Lili (in hebrew initials for white green whit green), which we kept catching over and over again, so we took her for a 2 miles distance away and later we caught her again. That bird was crazy - 10 times being caught by a bunch of kids and not leaving the place...
Anyway I should have said that SOME people don't differenciate between dogs, not that all people do it. I notice the difference, as I notice the difference between 2 people of another country. Lots of people do that even better than me (I've got problems identifying people even if I do recognize they're not the same). Jason - I know u're not taking it seriously, but if u don't want comments, why bring it up in the first place - there is a delete button. |

| @pretty_blossom: Is there a delete button? I forgot if I made a delete button for this script XD. I really should make one, shouldn't I? Anyway, I expected my light-hearted paragraph to be responded with light-hearted comments. But if you put it THAT way...I really can't complain now can't I? lol. |

| ANYWAY, here's an update regarding ROL: ...the next update might be late. I can't seem to bring myself to start working on the next scene...plus I can't decide on how the setting should look. WORST CASE SCENARIO: the next update will be up late next week... |
| by Ameides @ 13 June 2007 01:23 am |
| the worst case scenario isnt too bad, a few comics I read dont update for AGES. one of them hasnt updated for over a month now. -_-. Yet I still visit it everyday in hope.
Pretty_blossom: YOU CAUGHT THE POOR THING?!?!?!?! O.O!! My friends and I occasionally trap a duck, but theyre so darn in-your-face already that trapping them only lasts in their memory until the next time they see food in our hands. But sparrows? They're so tiny and delicate looking! Ive only caught them when they were caught by cats or stunned by the (or flying into a window). Even then, I was always scared of hurting them... What sparrow probably WAS crazy! XP I like the smell of budgies. I think it was just because Ive grown up with them. It just doesnt feel right at home without a nice budgie scent. or at least birdseed... ^^, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! *runs around room* |

| I love animals - I was in a zoology course at school which we explored the wonderful world of nature. That included a lot of bird studying - catching the smaller harmless ones and ringing them isn't too bad, although the net might be a bit distressful for them. We also analyzed owl droppings to see what they eat - it's not too bad, because they swallow their pray whole and then vomit whatever they can't digest - hair and bones only. We found out that the barn-owls we were monitoring were eating a kind of mole in a time of year that the mole couldn't be caught because they were underground and not coming out then. extremely weird stuff.
Anyway - aside from one sparrow that got decapitated by mistake (don't ask), we didn't hurt any of the birds, and as lili demonstrated by coming back from a long distance - they didn' mind it so much. |

| So cute!!! For some reason, the sparrows were a tad timid today...
Maybe the owls have pickled moles XP. Yum |

| The "myth" about the 10% is not false, it just you might have been told wrong. Its not "Humans only use 10% of their brain" full stop, but "Humans only use 10% of their brain AT THE SAME TIME", which has to do with the way a brain works. Action Potentials in synapses. If you want to know more about brains i am happy to tell you more.r
Anyway, i am not sure yet about ur comic. The text is good, almost very good and the drawing is...well...it fits. I have to read on, but so far me like. |
