Green is the wall color of hospitals and goverment buildings. it actually looks nice in this page. poor yasu - she really looks depressed. I wonder if she realises that it was her fault that he's hurt that badly.

You say it doesn't make a difference with the line thickness? It doesn't to the naked eye but I saw a big difference in them. It's good.

Thanks for the reassurance regarding the color choice, pretty_blossom.

And the line thickness isn't as noticable (in my opinion) because of all the colors and shading that cover majority of it. Nevertheless, thanks for the comment, Quill...I'm glad someone noticed it. Just out of curiousity, did you notice it before or after you read my news blurb?
by Kojiki @ 05 October 2007 12:29 pm
That's actually a really good hospitally type building. And now the previous page makes much more sense ^_^

I'm intrigued very much by the turn of events. I could have sworn earlier that our hero was dead, and now it doesn't seem so. Even though we just met him and we know nothing about him really, I had grown attached to the man that bravely stood up against one of those angels.

Like said before, the colours do make you feel like you are looking at a hospital, really, so the choice was not bad at all.

And the line things... I didn't quite notice them until I read through the blurb but once you said so it became quite obvious - but maybe thats for the best. You don't want the differences to be so outrageous that it jumps out at you, but the subtle differences between line thickness does do something for the depth of the picture.

Thank you Kojiki and Wicked for the feedback. Regarding the lines, I also think that it'd be best that the reader not directly see the difference. However, idealistically...I hoped that the people would notice that it looked better, but just could not quite pinpoint the reason why. I mean, if people don't notice it looks better from before...it wasn't a drastic enough change.

...Sorry to say this but I personally didn't like the change... I don't now, I wonder if it's it's faut but I really didn't think this page and the previous one's art was as good as the others...
by Jason @ 09 October 2007 04:31 am
Um...well I'll try to improve more then ^_^

Anyway, I just wanted to tell everyone that a new page should go up either tomorrow or the day after. I finally finished writing a 20 page lab report, so I *should* be able to open up some free time for comic-making.

I'm more interested in how the story will progress than the art. You can only go so many pages without either dialog or action without readers getting bored or annoyed.

On the subject or the green background, it is a little strange looking. After all the dark strips and the fact that ont of the main characters was near-mortally wounded, an almost-cheery looking daylight scene doesn't express the mood right.

Whoa, are you "bored or annoyed" already? Well, I suppose it may seem like nothing has happened in a long while due to the slow updating...but in terms of pages, I don't think enough action-less pages have passed to make an interested reader uninterested.

Poor Yasu... ;_;

I would have personally used blue instead of green for a more future-y look
