Something about that last frame doesn't look quite like his hand is going through blue-hair guy (sorry, I suck with names ^^;). I think it's because of the blood effect.

Nice comic, sucks for Haruki! Same here about the shitty weekend. Ugh...
by Delphi @ 03 September 2007 05:33 pm
It's so hot -_-'

The last frame looks fine, it was the one with the series of rocks that was confusing, I wouldn't have been able to tell what was going on without the narrative. Something better might have been a wider, bigger shot where you see the stone's path, ricocheting off the Angel's arm (drawn dynamically to indicate movement) and past Haruki, with his "!!!" It would just make things more clear as to what happened.

Hm I think a shot of Haruki's face would have done the trick instead of the panel where you can see his hand.

Anyway great coloring!

Awsome as always.

Sucks about the weekend

Owch, now thats a shoulder wound... hope he's a lefty. Sorry about the weekend, but things can only get better right?
by Tom @ 04 September 2007 10:30 am
Thanks for bothering with a page.

It's hard to do action and this was more than a decent attempt.

Comiserations for your weekend

Kojiki, I guess he was already a lefty, since that's the hand he was using for whatever he was doing.

I think the problem Matt mentioned was that the last panel doesn't give as much of a sence of a movement as the others.
by Jason @ 05 September 2007 00:40 am
Hmm...yeah, I suppose this a rather icky page in general. THough I'd think Haruki should be more worried his vital organs have been severed rather than the consequent shoulder wound...look at the last panel again.

Nevertheless, thank you for all the feedback! This is still a learning process for me so I'm still working on it

By the way...I scripted a little feature so that my comments will stand out a bit more...plus it prevents people from pretending to be me

...not that I've been having a problem with impersonators...
by Ameides @ 05 September 2007 11:58 pm
Oooo, Snazzy! XD

;_; *pats Jasons head* Theres always next weekend?

Damn Yasuko.... XD
by Delphian @ 06 September 2007 10:20 am
Haha Haruki seems screwed >_<

Btw, if you can script that little bit, can you script the background of the "Display Name:" box so it's not all super-light? You can't see the text in it.
by pretty_blossom @ 06 September 2007 02:05 pm
wow - nice page, except that the last panel looks like the old movies' sword trick - I know it's supposed to pirce his chest but it looks like it goes under the armpit. Ok, well - can't be helped with this type of coloring, I suppose.

As for getting distracted because a small stone hits him - I suppose a regular person would react like that, I was expecting a bit more from Haruki, which is silly of me.
Now all that's left is to see how the angel gets driven off without killing anybody. Should be interesting.
by Ameides @ 06 September 2007 10:59 pm
Delphian: Really? Ive never had that problem... O.o
by Jason @ 07 September 2007 00:09 am
@Delphian: Yeah...I know what you're talking about. It only happens on certain browsers...I think it was Internet Explorer 5.5? They make the field yellow-ish because it's called labeled "name". Anyway, I'll look into fixing it later.
