Project ROL: Page 86

Page 86
ONE NEW PAGE. Again, this page was entirely done digitally. On the last page, you couldn't really tell that I did it entirely digitally, but I think that the character drawings here really gave it away this time. Oh well.

Now, it has come to my attention that not everyone is too keen about the brightness of the new layout. Since the customer is always right, I attempted to darken up the color scheme. Here's the result. A darker theme definitely made the layout seem much "busier", though that may or may not be a bad thing in this situation. Nevertheless, I would like to hear from the readers whether they liked the lighter or the darker layout.

...Okay, there's something I want to discuss with "one" of you. I am getting a lot of criticism regarding Project ROL being in the top 15-20 on webcomic toplists (TopWebComics & Buzzcomix). Honestly, even I admit Project ROL probably does not deserve to be on there, seeing as I'm still dabbling with a far-from-perfect art style and the story is a bit iffy with certain groups of people. I mean, I barely have 50 readers who comment, and 1000-5000 unique hits per day; my fanbase is clearly not as large as the other major contenders out there. Now, I'm not saying I dislike readers trying to support me through voting, but let's do this cleanly, okay? I mean, let's be realistic here...300 votes per day? That means 15-35% of readers vote on a daily basis...

Of course, there's always a chance that I really am getting 300 valid votes a day (it's not completely impossible since I do average enough unique hits)...in which case, hurray, I apparently have a very high percentage of supportive readers willing to actually do something for a comic they enjoy ^_^

So, if you have been voting for Project ROL properly: thank you and please continue doing so. HOWEVER...if you are manipulating votes, I appreciate the effort, but it has placed me under the radar with the toplists staff. I'm sure your purpose (if "you" exist) is not to suspend me from the toplists and give me a bad name in the webcomic industry. Or at least I hope not XD

Regardless, simply reading my work is enough to keep me motivated to continue the story, so there's no need to do unneccesarily things for me. *thinks* Well, I suppose I'd be lying if I said I'm not more motivated if people leave comments or joined the forums, but at the very least, seeing the unique hits keep me doing the minimum amount of work to sustain this Project ROL, lol.
