Today, I have a few honest questions for the readers here at Project ROL regarding my integrity as a human being (lol), so feedback is highly appreciated. Nevertheless, if you don't want to openly answer in public on the comments/forum, email me.
First topic: would I be stooping down to a new "low" if I drew pornography? Not simply nudity for art...but literally porn. Haha, that got your attention, didn't it? Anyway, due to..."circumstances"...I have been working on a mini sex comic for some people. Originally, I intended to keep this under the table, but now I'm thinking that since I'm taking so much time drawing this, I might as well showcase it on Project ROL. Well, actually I haven't quite drawn anything explicit yet...but I'm getting pretty close to the actual sex scene. So here's the two questions: is it wrong/dirty of me to draw pornography and if I do draw it...should I place it on Project ROL? Of course I'll have to have 18+ warnings on that section of the website...and it shouldn't affect Project ROL otherwise (other than my reputation).
Next topic: I've recently been trading email with a staff member of PPP (Pay Per Play). When I first got the email,I was a click away from marking it as spam, but then I noticed it was actually written by a human because it mentioned Project ROL's toplist ranks and a few statistical numbers. Anyway, after being suckered into reading what they had to say, I found out that PPP is inviting sites to join a "revolutionary" advertisement program that will begin in February. Normally I'd just cast this kind of offer away, but PPP appears to pay rather nicely...and I'd be lying if I said I didn't need the money ^^;;
However, I did not sign up as of yet, because I wanted to hear the opinions of my readers since it will be you who has to put up with the adverts. The reason why PPP claims to be "revolutionary" is because their program is a 5 second audio clip that will play the first time you open up Project ROL. I heard a few of their samples, and apparently they already have Taco Bell and other companies as sponsors. I checked Google and found mixed reviews about this program (though I was surprised at how many debates/articles were about this new company that hasn't even opened up the doors to their program yet). Some were saying that this is the next step in web advertisements, like television commercials. Others were saying that this kind of advert is like "selling out" and turning the internet into a corporate market. Regardless, it seemed 50-50 regarding whether or not viewers would mind hearing audio adverts while browsing. So the question here, is obviously: would the readers of Project ROL mind hearing a 5 second audio clip when you check this website?
And that's all I have to ask. Please give me your feedback regarding me drawing porn and placing audio commercials on the site (Damn, this really does sound like I'm selling out here XD).
