I uploaded three pages today...but only two 'real' pages since the third page is a note/filler. Anyway, this current page is definitely the poster page of Project ROL; I mean, I've been working up to this page since page one (as you can tell from the banner). And I must say...it may have turned out even better than I originally imagined in my mind.
But putting aside today's page, I was contacted earlier by an
Asian company with an offer to create figurines (still toy models) of the Project ROL characters. Though it's cool how they personally came to me with the offer, I declined it. I mean, would any of you actually want to purchase a figurine with, perhaps, the guy in today's page? Or perhaps the self-proclaimed God? Or the older Yasu? Unless I feel Project ROL's fanbase is large enough to actually contain buyers with too much money on their hands, I'm going to stay clear from merchandise. Too much work with too little profit.
On a non-related subject, the public schools around here are going to start soon (college doesn't start until the twentieth). Thus, I plan on visiting my old cross-country coach since he did coach me for four years. Plus, he's quite a friendly guy who allowed us to call him TAC (aka Tall Ass Coach), even though the other faculty frowned upon it. Many of my fonder high school memories originated from cross-country...so I figured I'd stop by during their practice and see how he's doing. Perhaps even scope out the team to see if I can be expecting a regional/state championship anytime soon.
On the topic of long-distance running, I've started doing short runs again to pull myself back in shape. I'm old enough to do the marathon instead of the half-marathon now (26 miles, 40 kilometers), but unless I start training again I'm just setting myself up for a few hours of immense pain and suffering. Nevertheless, I'm hoping to work my way up to the same physical condition as my high school years. Plus, if I don't do it, a certain relative of mine will scold me and I'd hate to have that happen...lol
That's all I have to say for now. I hope I didn't bore anyone to death since this entry is actually less interesting than usual (is that even possible?).
