It's almost time to uncloak the cloaked guy. I personally can't wait. Not because it's going to be fun making the scene where he's uncloaked...but because I hate drawing that thing.
Nevertheless, moving along to the final two panels...we see our gorilla-like android creature I mentioned earlier. And you know what...it looks so damn terrible. I swear, it looked better penciled on paper before inking. No matter how I played with it, the colors really screwed up the horrific look he (I'm going to refer to 'it' as a he) originally had. Now he just looks funny and out-of-place. He's supposed to look scary and freakish *SIGH*
Anyway, the point of him looking ugly is because I wanted him to look the opposite of what the typical person would consider an angel as. For the most part, people consider an angel (whether or not it's the biblical angel) to be innocent and pure. So why is my Angel (supposed to be) horrific? Irony. The beings, who wanted to act as angels to serve God's will, looked completely impure and unangelical despite their intentions.
Well, a full body shot of my Angel will be on the next page when I'm vacationing in Canada. I haven't inked it yet (it's still in its cooler pencil form), but I'll try to make it look more horrific the second time around. Check the site on Tuesday for that one (I'll probably also explain why I chose this shape/form for my Angel on that news entry -- this page doesn't show enough of the Angels body to explain my reasoning for his appearance)
