Project ROL: Page 31

Page 31
I have two new pages up today! I'm hoping that uploading these pages early isn't going to hinder my updates for next week when I'm off in Canada...I just didn't feel like holding back these pages any longer.

The second new page has a new character I'm not going to talk about here as to not give away any spoilers before you read that page (I believe there are some readers who read each individual news entry before moving to the next page). But page 31 is fair game, so I'll explain the 'tsk' part in Yasu's speech bubble.

Well, the sound effect I wanted is that clicking noise you make with your tongue when you want to express disappointment or disgust. However, I couldn't remember if 'tsk' was the correct onomatopoeia for the sound, so I was actually leaning toward 'che', which is another sound expressing the same emotion. But the problem with 'che' is that I couldn't remember if it was an Asian thing, because I sometimes find myself using sounds/gestures that are understandable in the Chinese culture, but not in the American culture (thus causing confusion or amusement to my peers). Anyway, I was thinking just using an asterisk like *tongue click*, but then I recall someone telling me that it's unprofessional to use the asterisk for sound effects -- plus 'tongue clicking' sounded even worse than 'tsk' or 'che'. So after sitting in front of my monitor trying to analyze this for maybe five to ten minutes, I finally settled for a 'tsk' encased in parenthesis. Hope it didn't cause anyone to stumble (I'm probably over-thinking this anyway)

..........You know what I hate? How I always have something interesting prepared to say on these entries...yet when it comes time to write my entry, I completely forget what it was I originally wanted to discuss. I swear, there was something worthwhile to say today...actually, today I was supposed to have two things to say: one about the Project ROL and one as a random amusing fact. Eck, forget it -_-
